The following habitat sculpture, titled The Kingfisher Perch, is colaboration with Dylan Woock located in Bend Oregon's Deschutes River. Installed in the spring of 2016 the huntimg perch is a hunting platform designed specifically to bring back the Belted Kingfisher to the newly completed Deschutes River Safe Passage Masterplan.
Referencing the structure of a tree snag, the form of the Perch rises vertically providing various perch points for the bird to utilize.
The perch is part of an ecosystem intervention, the perch seeks to help to bring back life to the re-shaped landscape.
